About the Company
Our client is an established trading firm operating in global financial markets. They develop proprietary technology and trading strategies to identify and execute opportunities across a range of asset classes.
Unlike larger corporate environments, the technology team works closely with end users, allowing engineers to see the direct impact of their work on trading performance and business outcomes.
The Role
You will join a team responsible for building and improving the systems that support automated and manual trading activities. Depending on your experience and interests, you may work on:
- High-performance trading applications
- Real-time market data systems
- Backend services and infrastructure
- Trading tools and user-facing applications
- Performance and reliability improvements across the technology stack
Requirements
- 4+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong commercial experience with C++
- Experience developing backend systems
- Exposure to Java and/or JavaScript is beneficial
- Strong problem-solving skills and engineering fundamentals
- Experience in gaming, simulation, high-performance computing, or low-latency environments is highly valued
- Trading experience is preferred but not required
