Analyst/Associate - M&A Advisory
Key Responsibilities
- Support the execution of cross‑border M&A transactions across Asia, including buyer/target screening, valuation work, financial modelling, and preparation of core transaction materials.
- Lead day‑to‑day project management of deal processes, coordinating with internal sector teams, senior bankers, and external advisors (legal, accounting, tax, regulatory).
- Produce high‑quality materials such as information memorandum, financial analyses, management presentations, and committee documents with minimal supervision.
- Perform detailed valuation work including comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, DCF models, accretion/dilution analysis, and other transaction‑specific financial assessments.
- Drive due diligence workstreams and manage information flow among clients, advisors, and internal stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.
- Assist senior bankers in preparing client pitches, market updates, strategic analyses, and industry research to support business development initiatives.
- Provide coaching, review, and guidance to Analysts, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to high professional standards.
- Maintain a strong understanding of regional market trends, regulatory developments, and cross‑border considerations relevant to Asia‑focused M&A activity.
Requirements
- Solid experience in M&A advisory or investment banking, with solid hands‑on involvement in transaction execution; cross‑border exposure within Asia is a strong advantage.
- Strong financial modelling and valuation skills, with demonstrated ability to manage complex analyses independently and provide clear insights to senior team members.
- Excellent project management capabilities, with strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple workstreams under tight timelines.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to prepare polished materials and engage professionally with clients and advisors.
- Team‑oriented mindset with experience mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to a collaborative, high‑performance environment.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin required
- Bachelor's degree from a recognised institution; strong academic and professional track record.
