VP, Credit Analyst - Commercial Real Estate
A Wholesale Commercial Bank is looking to hire a Vice President to its Credit Risk Management team in New York City to cover their Commercial Real Estate portfolio. This role sits in the second line of defense and reports to the Head of Credit. This role offers ownership over an established portfolio consisting of new and existing transactions. The successful candidate will have experience conducting Credit Analysis, preparing credit reports, and covering multifamily, office, retail and industrial real estate.
The team in New York is a tight knit group of roughly 100 employees spanning multiple business lines including Investment / Deal teams, Operations, and Risk Management. Joining this group provides full visibility into the full investment process - this is not a siloed role.
Responsibilities
- Perform credit analysis and loan reviews for Commercial Real Estate transactions
- Prepare credit reports for new loans and process renewals in the assigned portfolio
- Independent monitoring of credit quality of assigned CRE portfolio ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations
- Collaborate with Front Office teams and advise on risk appetite and provide support to all teams involved in the credit process
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Commercial Real Estate Credit Analysis at a bank
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics and / or MBA
- Formal bank credit training program or commensurate experience
Schedule
- 3 days in office / week
