Salary: $80,000 - $95,000
Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Underwriting Support Team Leader with a strong background in commercial Excess & Surplus (E&S) lines to join our dynamic team. In this leadership role, you will oversee the underwriting support team, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality service delivery. Your expertise in commercial E&S lines will be crucial in guiding the team and enhancing our underwriting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage the underwriting support team, providing guidance, training, and performance management to ensure team success.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of underwriting support operations.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all underwriting support activities meet company standards and regulatory requirements, maintaining high levels of accuracy and compliance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with underwriters, brokers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth underwriting processes and resolve any issues promptly.
- Reporting: Develop and maintain reporting systems to track team performance, identify trends, and provide insights for continuous improvement.
Basic Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial E&S lines underwriting or underwriting support.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage a team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to identify process improvements and ensure quality assurance.
- Collaboration: Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with various stakeholders in the underwriting process.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications in insurance are a plus.
