Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a driven and analytical Associate to join its Turnaround & Restructuring team in Miami. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in finance or consulting who have transitioned into-or are looking to deepen their experience in-restructuring and special situations advisory. You will work closely with senior team members to support distressed clients through financial and operational transformations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support client engagements involving liquidity management, operational turnarounds, and financial restructurings.
- Build and maintain financial models, including 13-week cash flow forecasts, business plan reviews, and recovery analyses.
- Conduct industry and company research to support strategic recommendations.
- Assist in the preparation of client presentations, board materials, and stakeholder communications.
- Participate in meetings with clients, legal advisors, lenders, and other stakeholders.
- Contribute to internal knowledge development and support business development initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of total professional experience, with at least 1-2 years in a relevant lateral field (e.g., investment banking, consulting, corporate finance, or private equity).
- Demonstrated interest or experience in turnaround, restructuring, or special situations.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills; proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is essential.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced credentials (e.g., CPA, CFA, CIRA) are a plus.
Expected Compensation:
Base Salary: $135k - $160k
Discretionary Bonus: 30% - 50%+
