Product Manager - Personal Auto

An exclusive P&C client of ours is looking to grow their insurance organization and is seeking a skilled Product Manager to support the development and expansion of its personal auto insurance programs across multiple states.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of state-specific product launches, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage rate filings and revisions in coordination with actuarial and compliance teams to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor strategies, and regulatory changes to inform product enhancements and positioning.
  • Collaborate with teams across analytics, actuarial, claims, technology, and marketing to implement product updates and support broader initiatives.
  • Translate insights into product strategies that optimize pricing, underwriting, and segmentation for long-term success.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support the product management function.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in product management or analytics, with a focus on personal auto insurance.
  • Strong understanding of insurance product development, rating structures, and rate revision processes.
  • Familiarity with statistical and actuarial concepts and their application in insurance.
  • Proficiency in Excel; experience with SQL or coding is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Experience with insurance platforms such as Guidewire is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across departments and with external stakeholders.
