Lead or Principal Manager, Product Management (Investment Services Technology)
We are looking for an enthusiastic, analytical, and resourceful product manager to join our Investment Services Technology team. This team manages technology for finance and operations, including post-trade activities, portfolio and fund accounting, and investor relations. The role offers an inclusive and dynamic environment, aiming to enhance our technology for better efficiency and scalability. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of financial markets and experience in product management and process optimization.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with business users, software developers, product managers, and technology leadership teams to conceptualize and develop solutions for improving middle and back-office systems.
- Understand business needs, define technical requirements, prioritize product roadmaps, support current applications, and align product goals and priorities with leadership, business users, and development teams.
- Work with colleagues across financial operations, Arcesium, and technology teams.
- Gather customer feedback to refine the product and prioritize features based on impact and feasibility.
- Partner closely with global leaders in our Information Technology, Finance, and Operations teams.
Basic Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher, with at least 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience in product management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate the needs of non-technical system users into technical requirements.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills, with the ability to see how small details interrelate to impact the bigger picture (i.e., systems thinking).
- Initiative to dive into details and manage projects to completion.
- Ability to balance various stakeholder needs and reach consensus, with a customer service mindset, and proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to investment management or fund accounting domain.
- Understanding of back-office processes of a hedge fund or asset management firm (trade settlement, reconciliation, portfolio accounting, fund accounting, investor relations).
