Position Overview:
The firm is looking to bring on a Portfolio Manager to the team that has experience trading commodities on a futures and options basis. As a PM, you will be responsible for executing and developing trading strategies in commodities markets, managing risk, and optimizing portfolio performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage trading strategies in commodities futures and options (energy, crude oil, natural gas)
- Monitor market trends, macroeconomic indicators, and geopolitical developments
- Execute trades and manage positions in accordance with risk parameters
- Collaborate with research and quant teams to enhance strategy development
- Continuously evaluate portfolio performance and adjust strategies as needed
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and internal risk guidelines
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in commodities trading with a focus on futures and options
- Proven track record of generating consistent returns
- Strong understanding of derivatives, market microstructure, and risk management
- Proficiency in trading platforms and analytical tools (e.g., Bloomberg, Python, Excel)
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
