Operating Partner
The Operating Partner will play a critical role in the firm's value creation strategy by working closely with portfolio company leadership to drive operational improvements, accelerate growth, and enhance profitability. While the role includes contributing to technical and operational diligence during the acquisition process, the primary focus is on post-investment value creation.
Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Acquisition:
- Collaborate with the deal team to assess operational capabilities and risks during due diligence.
- Evaluate management teams, organizational structures, and scalability of operations.
- Provide insights on integration planning and value creation opportunities.
Post-Acquisition / Portfolio Management:
- Serve as a strategic advisor and hands-on partner to portfolio company CEOs and leadership teams.
- Lead or support the development and execution of value creation plans (VCPs).
- Identify and implement operational improvements across functions such as sales, marketing, supply chain, finance, and technology.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive accountability for results.
- Support talent development, including recruiting and mentoring key executives.
- Facilitate best practice sharing across the portfolio.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in operating roles (e.g., CEO, COO, GM) with a track record of driving growth and operational improvements.
- Proven experience working within private equity-backed companies or directly within the private equity industry.
- Demonstrated success in leading at least one business through a successful sale or exit.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills; ability to translate strategy into execution.
- Comfortable working across a variety of industries and business models.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to influence and build trust with diverse stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel as needed to support portfolio companies.
