Japan Industrials / Factory Automation L/S Equity Analyst
Selby Jennings has partnered with a Global Multi-Manager Multi-Strategy Hedge Fund in seeking a L/S Equity Analyst to join an experienced Japan PM in their Hong Kong office.
This hire will focus on the Japan Industrials / Factory Automation / Machinery / Autos space, and will be responsible for identifying quality businesses through conducting fundamental research when generating investment ideas for the portfolio.
Requirements:
- At least 3-5 years of experience covering the sector.
- Native Japanese language fluency is required.
- Preference for candidates to come from a buy-side firm, but open to considering strong sell-side candidates with relevant exposure in covering the sector.
- Ideally with experience in L/S equity investing with a deeply analytical approach when generating alpha.
Description:
- To join an experienced Japan PM in their Hong Kong office.
- Work closely with PM in covering the Japan Industrials sector, conducting fundamental analysis, generating investment ideas, maintaining models, and monitoring positions in the portfolio.
- Pitch investment ideas, and providing support in for any adjustments of investments based on market feedback and research.
