Investment Banking Fintech Associate
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support M&A transaction execution, including financial modeling, valuation analyses, industry diligence, process management, and deal documentation review.
- Develop sophisticated financial models to evaluate fintech business models across payments, lending, wealth management, insurtech, embedded finance, and emerging technology verticals.
- Prepare detailed client materials including pitch presentations, strategic reviews, industry analyses, and board-level content.
- Conduct in-depth market and competitive research to identify trends, opportunities, and strategic insights in fintech.
- Work closely with senior bankers to drive idea generation, assist with deal origination, and support key client relationships.
- Coordinate workflow and manage junior team members to ensure efficient deal execution and high-quality output.
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of investment banking experience with demonstrated M&A execution exposure (priority requirement).
- Strong financial modeling and valuation skills, with the ability to build and refine complex analytical frameworks.
- Deep interest in fintech, digital financial services, or technology-enabled business models.
- Specialty finance experience is preferred but not required.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into client-ready materials.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, STEM, or related field.
