Position Overview:
This opportunity is with a leading middle-market investment bank headquartered in Chicago, known for its entrepreneurial culture, global reach, and deep sector expertise. The firm specializes in M&A and capital advisory services across a range of industries, with a strong track record in the Industrials sector. The Industrials team is a core part of the firm's platform, consistently executing high-impact deals for private equity firms, family-owned businesses, and corporate clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the execution of buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions, recapitalizations, and debt advisory mandates within the Industrials sector.
- Serve as the primary liaison between clients and internal deal teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables and timely execution.
- Manage and mentor Associates and Analysts, providing guidance on financial modeling, valuation, and presentation materials.
- Conduct in-depth industry and company research to support strategic recommendations and business development efforts.
- Collaborate with senior bankers to originate new business opportunities and contribute to pitch development.
- Maintain and grow relationships with private equity firms, corporate clients, and other strategic partners.
- Ensure compliance with internal processes and regulatory requirements throughout the deal lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- 6-10 years of relevant investment banking or M&A advisory experience, with a strong preference for prior exposure to the Industrials sector.
- Demonstrated ability to lead deal execution and manage multiple workstreams under tight deadlines.
- Exceptional financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a client-first mindset.
- Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.
