Job Responsibilities
Team leadership and development
Oversee the business analysis and data analytics teams, setting a clear strategic vision, defining roles, encouraging collaboration, and fostering a positive, innovative team culture.
Lead recruitment, training, and career development efforts to build a high-performing team. Enhance team capabilities through hands-on mentorship, tailored growth plans, and targeted upskilling initiatives.
Business analysis and strategic planning
Play an active role in company-wide strategic planning, integrating insights from Web3 trends, market movements, and internal performance to inform long-term business direction.
Design and refine key business metrics and monitoring systems to evaluate operational health, identify risks or opportunities, and provide actionable strategic recommendations.
Conduct deep-dive analyses on critical business questions-such as product launches or competitor strategies-by leading targeted research, building attribution models, and collaborating cross-functionally to implement data-driven strategies that drive measurable growth.
Data operations and insight generation
Manage integration and governance of internal and external data sources. Build efficient pipelines for data collection, cleaning, storage, and analysis to ensure high-quality, timely information.
Apply advanced analytics techniques, including machine learning and data mining, to analyze large-scale Web3 datasets (user behavior, transactions, market signals) and uncover valuable insights for product, marketing, and risk management.
Produce concise, insightful reports and dashboards to communicate complex findings through data visualizations, helping drive informed decisions across teams and leadership.
Cross-functional collaboration
Act as the key liaison between the data team and departments like product, tech, operations, marketing, and risk. Deliver tailored analytical support aligned with each team's needs.
Join cross-functional projects and meetings to share analysis and recommendations, enhancing project execution and interdepartmental coordination.
Lead data-focused workshops on key initiatives to foster a culture of evidence-based decision-making and align stakeholders on strategies supported by data.
Job Requirements
Experience
8+ years in business and data analysis roles, including at least 3 years of experience leading teams of 30+ members with a proven ability to manage performance and growth.
Background in large internet companies or Web3-related fields with a strong grasp of relevant business models, data ecosystems, and market dynamics.
Skills
Skilled in business analysis frameworks such as SWOT, Porter's Five Forces, and other strategic tools to assess competition and uncover market opportunities.
Proficient in SQL, Python, R (at least one), with experience in data modeling, analytics, and visualization using tools like Tableau or Power BI.
Deep understanding of machine learning and data mining concepts, with hands-on experience applying these in business contexts such as user prediction, risk modeling, and targeted campaigns.
Core competencies
Strong analytical thinking and data intuition, with the ability to extract key insights from complex datasets and develop logical, effective solutions.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills; able to motivate teams, facilitate collaboration, and align cross-functional stakeholders toward shared goals.
Agile and decisive under pressure, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt in dynamic environments.
Highly driven and accountable, with a passion for continuous learning, staying current with tech trends, and bringing fresh value to the organization.
