The Opportunity

We are looking for a seasoned Consulting Actuary to join a dynamic team supporting a variety of clients, including insurers, self-insured organizations, program administrators, and Insurtech startups. This role offers the chance to lead diverse projects, contribute to strategic decision-making, and work in a flexible, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and execute actuarial consulting assignments, including pricing, reserving, filings, and product strategy
  • Review and validate work completed by other consultants to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Develop compelling exhibits and documentation for regulatory filings
  • Communicate directly with clients to understand their needs and deliver actionable insights
  • Stay informed on industry developments and evolving actuarial practices
  • Draft proposals, prepare client reports, and manage project billing
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to internal knowledge sharing

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 years of actuarial experience in the Property & Casualty sector
  • ACAS or FCAS designation required
  • Strong expertise in personal lines insurance, personal auto preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and actuarial software tools
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail

Compensation

Annual Salary: $140,000 to $190,000
Includes eligibility for a performance-based bonus
