Conducting Officer - Luxembourg Management Company

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Conducting Officer to join a Luxembourg-based Management Company. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with CSSF and AIFMD requirements, overseeing core functions such as fund administration, finance, valuation, and governance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as Conducting Officer in accordance with CSSF regulations and AIFMD requirements.
  • Oversee fund administration, including NAV calculation, investor reporting, and financial statements prepared by delegated administrators.
  • Maintain oversight of valuation processes, ensuring fair and independent valuation of fund assets; chair or participate in valuation committees.
  • Monitor and review performance of outsourced service providers, ensuring robust SLAs and escalation processes.
  • Coordinate with Group Finance, Tax, and Operations to ensure alignment across entities.
  • Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes while maintaining financial transparency and control.
  • Report regularly to the Board of Directors and regulators on fund administration, accounting, and valuation matters.
  • Keep abreast of regulatory developments and industry best practices, adapting policies and procedures as needed.

Profile & Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 7-10 years in fund administration, accounting, and valuation oversight within asset management, a management company, Big 4, or financial services.
  • Education: University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, ACA) strongly preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Strong understanding of Luxembourg GAAP, IFRS, UCITS, AIFMD regulations, and CSSF requirements.
    • Proven expertise in fund valuation processes and ability to provide independent challenge.
  • Industry Exposure: Familiarity with private equity, credit, and infrastructure fund structures.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to combine technical expertise with pragmatic business judgment.
    • Strong organizational and leadership capabilities.
  • Languages: Fluency in English; French is an advantage.
