Compliance Generalist (Reg & Surveillance)
Our client is a globally active market maker with a strong presence in electronic trading across asset classes. With a culture rooted in innovation, speed, and precision, they are expanding their compliance advisory function in Dublin and are seeking a talented Market Compliance Advisory Officer to join their high-performing team.
This is a key advisory role within the compliance function, focused on providing real-time and strategic compliance guidance to trading desks and business stakeholders. The successful candidate will bring a strong understanding of European regulatory frameworks-particularly MiFID II, MiFIR, and EMIR - and will be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, trading-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day compliance advisory support to trading desks and business units.
- Interpret and apply MiFID II, MiFIR, and EMIR regulations to business activities.
- Advise on regulatory obligations related to market conduct, trade reporting, and transaction transparency.
- Support the implementation of new regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Collaborate with legal, risk, and operations teams to ensure consistent compliance practices.
- Assist in regulatory inquiries, audits, and internal investigations.
- Deliver training and awareness sessions to front-office and support teams.
Candidate Profile
- Experience: 3-6 years of relevant experience in a compliance advisory role within a trading firm, investment bank, or regulatory body.
- Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of MiFID II, MiFIR, and EMIR. Familiarity with algorithmic trading and market structure is a plus.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment.
- Proficiency in compliance tools and systems is advantageous.
