Sr. Actuarial Manager
A leading insurance organization that we are actively working with is seeking a strategic and innovative Senior Manager, Actuary to oversee state-level pricing and rate strategy for private passenger auto lines.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in pricing, leadership experience, and a passion for developing high-performing teams of analysts. This position offers the opportunity to shape pricing strategy, foster innovation, and lead impactful initiatives across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic planning and execution of rate actions across assigned states.
- Analyze and interpret state-level indications, including trend and development analysis.
- Drive product innovation through segmentation and pricing strategies.
- Build and mentor a team of analysts, fostering ownership, initiative, and thought leadership.
- Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners to align pricing strategies with broader business goals.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant pricing experience; 6+ years preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience leading projects; 1+ year of managerial experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in a business, analytical, or related field.
- Proficiency in analytical tools such as Excel; experience with SQL and Power BI preferred.
- Proven ability to lead and manage teams toward strategic objectives.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
- Deep understanding of insurance fundamentals, including pricing, reserving, underwriting, and regulatory constraints.
