Operations Executive - Boutique investment management firm

Our client is a boutique investment management firm based in Singapore, operating a multi-strategy platform across public markets. As the business continues to support active trading strategies, they are hiring an Operations Executive to join a lean team and take on a broad, hands-on role across fund operations, controls, and reporting.

Responsibilities for the Operations Executive:

  • Perform trade position and P&L reconciliations across multiple asset classes, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies
  • Prepare and review NAV and estimated NAV reports for the fund
  • Maintain and update portfolio-related information accurately and in a timely manner
  • Conduct operational checks relating to stock borrow, large shareholding, and short position reporting
  • Prepare and support FX hedge rollovers and adjustments
  • Support day-to-day operational processes tied to active trading strategies
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external counterparties on operational matters
  • Support operational and regulatory checks in line with internal policies and requirements
  • Work closely with compliance on ongoing operational controls
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting standards
  • Assist with expense claims and general administrative support as required
  • Support ad hoc tasks assigned by senior management

Requirements for the Operations Executive:

  • Diploma or higher qualification
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in operations, middle office, or back-office functions
  • Prior experience within a fund management, asset management, or hedge fund environment is preferred
  • Candidates with exposure beyond pure fund accounting or fund administration will be advantageous
  • Familiarity with trade lifecycle, reconciliations, and operational controls is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Able to work independently in a small team and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving ability
  • Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with stakeholders
