Location: Washington D.C. Area

Job Type: Hybrid, 1 WFH

Salary: $150-180k/year plus bonus

Client/Job Summary:

Our client is a commercial bank looking for a Financial Reporting Manager to manage the regulatory and public company reporting. This role partners closely with leadership and external auditors to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely filings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead regulatory filings (e.g., Call Reports, Y‑9 series, related submissions)
  • Oversee SEC reporting (10‑K, 10‑Q, 8‑K, etc.) and financial statements
  • Assist in SOX compliance
  • Assist with Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and other ad hoc projects
  • Research and document technical accounting matters (US GAAP) as needed
  • Support audits, internal controls, and ad hoc financial analysis
  • Hire and lead direct reports

Key Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of accounting/reporting experience (public or public company)
  • Must have regulatory reporting experience (FFIEC Call Report, FRY9-LP and FRY9-C, BASEL III calculations and other regulatory reporting filings as necessary)
  • Deep knowledge of GAAP and financial disclosures
  • Familiarity with XBRL tagging and EDGAR filing processes
  • Experience with reporting tools (e.g., FedReporter, SmartCall, SmartY9, Workiva)
  • CPA preferred
