Job Title: Business Development Partner

Location: Hong Kong (with significant time spent in Hong Kong)

Job Overview:

The Business Development Partner will be responsible for driving USD fundraising efforts and expanding the client base for the fund's offshore entity. The role focuses on targeting corporates, family offices, and global banks. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in business development, particularly with offshore and global clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute fundraising strategies to attract USD investments from corporates, family offices, and global banks.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with high-value clients, acting as their trusted advisor.
  • Identify new business opportunities and market trends to expand the client portfolio.
  • Represent the hedge fund at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver solutions that align with client goals.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to leadership.
  • Ensure continuous communication between the hedge fund and the investment community.
  • Provide post-sales support with fund updates, manager commentaries, charts, etc.
  • Occasionally travel to meet clients and attend industry events.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in business development, with a focus on offshore and global clients.
  • Proven track record of successful fundraising and managing key accounts.
  • Strong knowledge of the financial markets and hedge fund industry.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to analyze market data and client needs.
  • Ability to handle a wide range of questions and small projects.
  • Professional, courteous, and flexible at all times.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese is a plus.

  • Deep understanding of fundraising strategies and extensive experience in promoting financial products.
  • Strong relationship management skills.
