A leading global investment bank with a strong presence across the U.S., Europe, and Asia is seeking a senior executive to lead its Hedge Fund & Private Equity Credit Risk function. This is a high-impact, global leadership role responsible for setting strategic direction, overseeing risk governance, and managing a complex portfolio of alternative investment counterparties.
- Lead and mentor a global team of credit officers and analysts covering hedge funds, private equity firms, and asset managers
- Define and execute the strategic vision for the HF & PE credit risk function in alignment with global risk appetite and regulatory expectations
- Serve as a voting member of internal credit committees and portfolio oversight forums
- Oversee credit assessments, internal ratings, and limit frameworks for HF & PE counterparties
- Monitor exposures across trading, financing, and lending activities, including MTM, PFE, and settlement risk
- Own the counterparty credit risk framework for HF & PE, including exposure aggregation, stress testing, margining, and wrong-way risk
- Oversee model validation, back-testing, and statistical analysis of risk metrics
Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in credit risk, with deep expertise in hedge funds, private equity, and alternative investment strategies
- Strong understanding of traded products, fund finance, and prime brokerage
- Experience across both developed and emerging markets
- Proven leadership in high-pressure environments with global team management
- Demonstrated ability to engage with regulators and senior stakeholders
- Strong communication, negotiation, and consensus-building skills
