Java Developer | Equities Cash Quantitative Analytics team
Role Summary:
This position is part of the Equities Cash Quantitative Analytics team based in Hong Kong, focusing on Java development for algorithmic trading systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing and implementing execution logic that supports high-performance trading strategies. You will work closely with quantitative researchers and business stakeholders to convert research ideas into scalable, production-ready solutions, ensuring alignment with best practices in software engineering. The role also involves partnering with IT teams to build and maintain a robust, low-latency infrastructure capable of handling large volumes of market data and order flow. A strong engineering mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment are essential.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline
- 7+ years of experience developing agency execution algorithms in Java (C# also considered)
- Deep understanding of trading rules and market microstructure across Asia Pacific markets
- Strong skills in multi-threaded programming and building scalable, low-latency systems
- Experience in automated trading (SOR/Dark Pools/Algos
- Experience with agile methodologies, automated testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with FIX protocol, market data feeds, and performance tuning in trading environments
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across quant, IT, and business teams
