Role Overview
They are seeking a highly motivated Investment Banking FIG Associate to join their team. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a growing platform where you will play a meaningful role in transaction execution, client engagement, and firm-building initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of M&A and strategic advisory transactions across the financial services sector, including banking, insurance, asset management, fintech, and specialty finance.
- Oversee and review complex financial models, including DCF, precedent transactions, trading comparables, and merger models; ensure analytical rigor and accuracy.
- Drive the preparation of client deliverables such as pitch books, management presentations, and internal committee materials with a high standard of quality and strategic insight.
- Conduct and synthesize industry research, market trends, and competitive benchmarking to support transaction execution and business development efforts.
- Manage junior team members, providing guidance on analysis, modeling, and presentation development; ensure timely and high-quality output.
- Collaborate directly with senior bankers and clients, contributing to strategic discussions and transaction structuring in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or a related financial role, with demonstrated transaction experience in M&A and/or financial institutions (FIG)
- Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills, with the ability to independently build and audit complex models.
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with financial databases such as Capital IQ, Bloomberg, and FactSet is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
- Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines with a high degree of attention to detail.
- Team-oriented mindset with leadership potential and a strong desire to contribute to a collaborative, high-performance culture.
