Investment Banking Analyst
We are representing an Elite Boutique Investment Bank as they look to expand their Industrials Group in Chicago at the Analyst level.
This team specializes in executing complex, high-profile sell-side M&A transactions for large-cap industrial clients. The ideal candidate will bring strong transaction experience, deep analytical capabilities, and a passion for delivering best-in-class advisory services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the execution of large-cap sell-side M&A transactions across various industrial sectors.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis, valuation modeling (DCF, LBO, precedent transactions, trading comps), and strategic assessments.
- Prepare client presentations, pitch materials, and marketing documents (CIMs, management presentations, etc.).
- Assist in due diligence processes and coordinate with clients, legal advisors, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor industry trends and maintain sector-specific knowledge to support business development efforts.
- Mentor and support junior analysts and interns as needed.
Qualifications:
- 1.5-3 years of investment banking experience, ideally at a reputable firm with a strong M&A platform.
- Demonstrated experience executing M&A transactions, preferably sell-side engagements.
- Strong technical skills in financial modeling and valuation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
- Bachelor's degree from a top-tier institution; finance, economics, or related field preferred.
