A boutique multi-strategy hedge fund in New York is looking for a Head of AI Research to join as a direct part of their investment team.
This is not a role about automating routine tasks or building chatbots. You will work directly alongside portfolio managers and traders to design and build multi-agent frameworks that help them push their competitive edge, applying cutting-edge AI/ML methods to solve the firm's most complex research challenges from the ground up.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading the design and building of a multi-agent AI platform for research across different verticals.
- Collaborate directly with investment teams to identify and solve high-value investment research problems using agents.
- Building foundational infrastructure and robust data pipelines through agentic design
- Provide leadership to direct data mixes for model training to maximize agent performance
What they're looking for:
- Proven experience building complex agentic systems using LLMs, with emphasis on agent communication architectures
- Demonstrated ability to take a product from 0 to 1, ideally in a startup environment
- Strong Python skills across the full stack
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a creative approach to developing innovative solutions.
- Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to a diverse audience, including both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
