Quantitative Research Developer
Summary
A leading options market maker is seeking a Quantitative Developer to join one of their expanding trading desks. This role sits at the intersection of trading, research, and engineering, with direct responsibility for productionizing algorithms, enhancing live trading strategies, and building tools used daily by traders. The position offers meaningful exposure to both real-time trading systems and quantitative research in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner closely with traders and researchers to take quantitative models and algorithms from ideation to production
- Improve and optimize existing trading strategies through data analysis, tooling, and systematic enhancements
- Build and maintain high-performance tools and infrastructure used across the desk
- Contribute to research efforts by testing new ideas, analyzing market data, and iterating on strategy design
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 2-5 years of experience as a quantitative developer or similar role within the quantitative trading space
- B.S./M.S. in Computer Science or a related STEM field from a top university
- Excellent programming skills in Python (C++ and/or Java is a nice to have but not a requirement)
- Proven ability to work in production trading environments and collaborate closely with traders and researchers to drive PnL
