Equity Stat Arb Quantitative Developer - New Trading Team
I'm partnering with a leading, multi-billion-dollar global hedge fund to find a highly skilled and entrepreneurial Quantitative Developer to join a newly launched quantitative trading pod. This role offers the opportunity to design, build, and scale the core trading infrastructure whilst getting exposure to all aspects of the investment process. You will help implement alpha strategies whilst learning from the QRs, how they construct this.
This is a rare opportunity to work alongside a Senior Portfolio Manager with 12+ years of system experience in alpha generation and strategy development. You'll collaborate directly with quant researchers and traders to bring ideas to life in production.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build systems for data ingestion, signal generation, backtesting, execution, and risk
- Optimize execution systems
- Manage and oversee data pipelines
- Build and lead a small team of developers.
- Collaborate closely with researchers and traders.
What you will bring:
- Fluency in C++ or C#
- strong Python skills
- Deep understanding of algorithms, multithreading, and modern databases.
- 2+ years of experience building high-performance trading systems in a quant or systematic environment.
- Proven expertise in:
- Real-time, architectures
- Market data handling
- Debugging and performance tuning in production
- Smart Order routing, FIX protocols, and DMA
