Director - Loan Syndication

Key Responsibilities

• Origination

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities for syndicated loans across corporate and financial institutions.
  • Partner with coverage bankers and product teams to structure tailored financing solutions.
  • Lead client pitches, negotiate terms, and secure mandates for syndicated loan transactions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at corporate clients and financial institutions.

• Distribution

  • Manage the syndication process from start to finish, including investor outreach, book-building, and allocation.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with institutional lenders, banks, and alternative credit providers.
  • Provide market intelligence and pricing guidance to internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk frameworks during distribution.

• Execution & Leadership

  • Oversee transaction documentation, closing processes, and post-closing investor communication.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to the development of best practices within the syndication team.
  • Collaborate with internal credit, legal, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in syndicated loan markets, with a strong track record in both origination and distribution.
• Deep understanding of leveraged finance, corporate lending, and capital markets.
• Established network of corporate clients, private equity sponsors, and institutional investors.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
