Client/Job Summary:
A global bank is seeking an experienced tax professional to support the preparation, review, and analysis of complex tax calculations across multiple entities. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and strong internal controls within a highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review tax calculations for internal reporting, forecasting, and regulatory requirements.
- Support the completion and review of federal and state tax filings, estimates, and extensions.
- Conduct technical analysis on various tax matters and advise on appropriate solutions.
- Assess the impact of changes in tax regulations and ensure they are effectively incorporated.
- Strengthen tax-related controls, documentation, and governance processes.
- Partner with finance and risk colleagues to support planning, stress testing, and strategic decision-making.
- Improve tax processes and systems.
Key Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in financial services tax or at a public accounting firm working with financial services clients.
- Degree in Accounting; advanced coursework or focus in tax is strongly preferred.
- Experience preparing or reviewing income tax (ASC 740) calculations under U.S. GAAP and IFRS.
- Experience with U.S. federal and state tax compliance.
- Familiarity with tax provision methodologies, effective tax rate analysis, and deferred tax concepts.
- Strong Excel abilities and experience with tax technology tools (e.g., enterprise tax software platforms).
- Ability to partner with both internal and external stakeholders.
