Job Title: Commodities Trade Analyst
Location: Miami, FL
Job Overview:
An independent commodity trading shop is looking to bring on an analyst to support the trading desk across trade support, reporting, reconciliation, and physical logistics. The position is highly hands-on and integral to the daily functioning of the trading business, with direct exposure to trading activity and physical transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all trade support and analysis for the trading desk.
- Perform daily reconciliation of trading P&L and positions.
- Oversee physical commodities logistics and scheduling.
- Generate and review contracts for physical commodity trades executed directly with counterparties.
- Support the firm's lending facility and working capital requirements to ensure efficient cash flow for physical transactions on a day-to-day basis.
- Coordinate closely with trading, accounting, logistics, and external counterparties.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related degree
- 2-3 years of experience in operations and/or accounting.
- 2+ years of commodities experience, preferably in physical markets.
- Prior experience working with physical inventory, logistics, or settlements is a plus.
