AVP, Investment Management
The Associate Vice President, Investment Management is responsible for overseeing the financial and operational performance of a designated portfolio within the healthcare real estate sector. Acting as the main liaison between the organization and its operating partners and tenants, this role plays a key part in asset strategy and value optimization. In close collaboration with senior leadership, the AVP will help define and execute investment plans that enhance long-term portfolio value. The position also works cross-functionally with internal teams such as acquisitions, research, and risk management to support corporate growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain strong relationships with tenant and operator leadership teams
Conduct property and market evaluations, including tenant performance, market comps, and property condition assessments
Coordinate with Property Management to enforce and manage lease agreements
Partner with property teams to identify and implement asset improvement initiatives
Leverage external brokerage relationships to obtain market intelligence and leasing comps
Guide and manage third-party brokers in creating effective leasing and marketing strategies
Lead lease negotiations; collaborate with legal teams to draft and revise leasing documentation
Create financial models and underwriting to support leasing decisions or potential asset sales
Track and enforce lease compliance and related tenant obligations
Participate in strategic efforts aimed at risk reduction and asset value enhancement
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
5-7 years of experience in asset management, real estate, or client relationship management; experience in healthcare real estate is advantageous
Willingness and ability to travel regularly for property site visits and stakeholder meetings
Strong familiarity with the healthcare real estate sector
Experience working within a REIT structure is beneficial
Skills and Competencies:
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Strong negotiation and deal structuring skills
Ability to work collaboratively across teams to align priorities and achieve goals
Experience with healthcare or medical office leasing is preferred
Familiarity with Argus and Yardi software platforms is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 suite
