Head of Operations & Asset Management, Real Estate
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to serve as Chief Operations Officer (COO) and Head of Asset Management for a fast-growing real estate private equity firm based in Los Angeles. This dual-role executive will oversee firm-wide operations and lead the asset management function, driving performance across a portfolio of multifamily properties with a strong emphasis on value-add and opportunistic strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Leadership (COO):
- Develop and implement operational strategies to support the firm's growth and investment objectives.
- Oversee internal processes, systems, and infrastructure to ensure operational efficiency and scalability.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning, capital raising, and investor relations.
- Lead cross-functional teams including finance, HR, compliance, and technology.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and risk management across all business units.
Asset Management Leadership:
- Direct the asset management team in executing business plans for multifamily investments, including renovations, repositioning, and lease-up strategies.
- Monitor property performance metrics, financial reporting, and KPIs to maximize asset value and investor returns.
- Develop and refine asset-level strategies in response to market trends, operational challenges, and investment goals.
- Manage relationships with third-party property managers, vendors, and service providers.
- Lead quarterly asset reviews and reporting for internal stakeholders and external investors.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in real estate private equity, asset management, or operations leadership, with a focus on multifamily properties.
- Proven track record of executing value-add and opportunistic investment strategies.
- Strong financial acumen and experience with underwriting, budgeting, and performance analysis.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
