Location: New York City
- Hybrid (4 days in office)
Salary: $150k - $225k base + bonus
About the Role:
We are representing a leading investment manager seeking a skilled controller to join their expanding team. In this role, you will manage and oversee financial aspects, supporting the management of various direct lending platforms. You will work with various teams and senior management, providing financial support through reporting, compliance, and review of financial and operational controls. The ideal candidate for this position has a Master's degree or professional certification (CPA, CFA) and a thorough understanding of loans and previous experience with alternative investments.
Responsibilities:
- Working cross-functionally to provide financial support.
- Financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, month-end and quarterly close processes, and other accounting activities.
- Compliance with SEC and IRS regulations.
- Lead and manage discussions with external parties.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, ideally in finance, accounting or a related field.
- Master's degree or professional certification (CPA, CFA).
- 10+ years of relevant experience, including public accounting.
- Thorough understanding of loans and experience with alternative investments, BDC/Registered Funds, or CLOs.
