Private Equity Infrastructure Associate
Selby Jennings is currently partnered with a leading global asset manager that is actively seeking to hire a Pre-MBA Associate for their Infrastructure Private Equity team, with a targeted start date of June or July 2026. This is a structured two-year program with the potential for a third-year extension based on performance and team needs. The infrastructure team invests across the capital stack and focuses on a broad range of infrastructure sub-sectors, including renewable energy, digital infrastructure, transportation, and waste & water. The Associate will gain hands-on experience across all stages of the investment process.
Key responsibilities include building detailed financial models, conducting market and industry research, underwriting new investment opportunities, and supporting the due diligence process. The Associate will also help prepare investment committee materials, monitor existing portfolio companies, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders throughout the deal lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field with strong academic performance
- 1-4 years of investment banking experience, ideally in Power & Utilities, Renewable Energy, Transportation, Industrials, or TMT
- Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
