UK Financing Sales
Overview
A leading international investment bank is seeking an Associate or Vice President to join its Securities Financing Sales team in London.
The role will focus on originating and developing financing relationships with UK-based institutional clients, delivering a broad range of balance sheet and financing solutions across securities finance markets. The successful candidate will be responsible for growing revenues across products including repo, total return swaps (TRS), and related financing solutions, working closely with trading, structuring, and broader sales teams.
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly commercial individual with 3-8 years of experience covering institutional investors and a strong understanding of financing products within fixed income and securities markets.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage relationships with UK-based institutional clients, including:
- Asset Managers
- Insurance Companies
- Pension Funds
- Hedge Funds
- Sovereign Wealth Funds
- Other institutional investors
Originate and execute financing transactions across:
- Repo
- Reverse Repo
- Total Return Swaps (TRS)
- Synthetic Financing Solutions
- Securities Lending and Borrowing
- Balance Sheet Optimisation Solutions
Identify opportunities to provide financing and liquidity solutions tailored to client investment strategies.
Work closely with trading and structuring teams to deliver bespoke financing transactions.
Drive revenue generation through proactive client engagement and idea generation.
Monitor market developments, funding dynamics, collateral trends, and regulatory changes impacting institutional investors.
Collaborate with product specialists across rates, credit, financing, and prime services to deliver holistic client solutions.
Maintain a strong understanding of client portfolios, investment objectives, and financing requirements.
Ensure adherence to internal risk, compliance, and regulatory standards.
Candidate Requirements
Experience
3-8 years of relevant experience within:
- Repo Sales
- Securities Finance Sales
- TRS Sales
- Financing Sales
- Prime Services
- Fixed Income Sales with a significant financing component
Experience covering UK institutional clients is essential.
Proven track record of business development and revenue generation.
Product Knowledge
Good understanding of:
- Repo and securities financing markets
