Technical Data Governance Lead
A leading hedge fund is seeking a Technical Data Governance Lead to join their New York City office. This is a growth hire designed to strengthen and expand the firm's data governance, data quality, and data management programs. The role is hands-on technical and central to ensuring that data is accurate, accessible, and fully aligned with business and regulatory expectations.
This position offers visibility and close collaboration with senior stakeholders across Operations, Technology, and Trading. The ideal candidate brings a mix of communication skills and technical expertise in Python and SQL, along with a proven track record of managing complex data environments, resolving data quality issues, and supporting scalable data solutions across a fast paced financial organization.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in data governance/management, data quality, or data engineering within the financial services industry
- Experience with MDM and/or enterprise data governance tools
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
