Senior Manager - Trade Finance - C&I Bank
Our client, a leading corporate and investment bank with a strong footprint across APAC and Mainland China, is seeking an experienced Head of Trade Finance to lead and grow its regional trade finance operations. This strategic leadership role will oversee all aspects of trade finance, including product development, client servicing, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the trade finance function across APAC, with a focus on cross-border transactions involving Mainland China.
- Oversee the execution and management of trade finance products including letters of credit, guarantees, supply chain finance, and structured trade solutions.
- Develop and implement regional strategies to grow trade finance volumes and enhance client experience.
- Ensure compliance with local and international trade regulations, AML, and KYC standards.
- Collaborate with relationship managers, product teams, risk, and operations to deliver tailored solutions to corporate and institutional clients.
- Drive digital transformation and process optimization across trade finance workflows.
- Represent the bank in industry forums and regulatory discussions related to trade finance.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team across multiple jurisdictions.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 10 years of experience in trade finance within corporate or investment banking, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Deep understanding of trade finance products, cross-border regulations, and APAC market dynamics.
- Proven track record in managing regional teams and delivering strategic growth.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin (required).
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related discipline; advanced certifications (e.g., CDCS, CFA) are a plus.
