Position Overview:
As a Senior Associate, you will play a critical role in leading client engagements, conducting in-depth financial and operational analyses, and supporting the development and execution of restructuring strategies. You will work closely with senior leadership and clients, often in high-intensity, time-sensitive situations, to stabilize operations, preserve value, and drive successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead workstreams on turnaround and restructuring engagements, including liquidity management, business plan assessments, and stakeholder negotiations.
- Conduct detailed financial modeling, including 13-week cash flow forecasts, liquidation analyses, and recovery modeling.
- Support the development of restructuring strategies, including in- and out-of-court solutions (e.g., Chapter 11, 363 sales, Article 9).
- Prepare client deliverables such as board presentations, lender updates, and court filings.
- Interface with clients, legal counsel, lenders, and other stakeholders to facilitate communication and alignment.
- Mentor and manage junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in turnaround and restructuring, bankruptcy advisory, or distressed investing.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills; proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is essential.
- Experience with bankruptcy processes, creditor negotiations, and distressed M&A is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA, CPA, or CFA is a plus.
Expected Compensation:
Base Salary: $175k - $200k
Discretionary Bonus: 50% - 75%+
