Job Title: Senior Associate - Turnaround & Restructuring
Location: New York, NY (Headquarters) | Miami, FL

With headquarters in New York and a growing presence in Miami, they partner with stakeholders across distressed and special situations to deliver strategic, operational, and financial solutions. The team is composed of seasoned professionals with deep expertise in navigating high-stakes environments and driving value creation under pressure.

Position Overview:
As a Senior Associate, you will play a critical role in leading client engagements, conducting in-depth financial and operational analyses, and supporting the development and execution of restructuring strategies. You will work closely with senior leadership and clients, often in high-intensity, time-sensitive situations, to stabilize operations, preserve value, and drive successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead workstreams on turnaround and restructuring engagements, including liquidity management, business plan assessments, and stakeholder negotiations.
  • Conduct detailed financial modeling, including 13-week cash flow forecasts, liquidation analyses, and recovery modeling.
  • Support the development of restructuring strategies, including in- and out-of-court solutions (e.g., Chapter 11, 363 sales, Article 9).
  • Prepare client deliverables such as board presentations, lender updates, and court filings.
  • Interface with clients, legal counsel, lenders, and other stakeholders to facilitate communication and alignment.
  • Mentor and manage junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in turnaround and restructuring, bankruptcy advisory, or distressed investing.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills; proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is essential.
  • Experience with bankruptcy processes, creditor negotiations, and distressed M&A is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA, CPA, or CFA is a plus.

Expected Compensation:

Base Salary: $175k - $200k

Discretionary Bonus: 50% - 75%+
