Associate, Structured Credit Quantamental Analyst

About the Opportunity
A leading alternative investment manager with a multi-billion-dollar structured credit platform is seeking two Associates to join its front-office investment team.
The team is hiring:
- Associate, European ABS Quantamental Analyst
- Associate, RMBS & Whole Loan Quantamental Analyst
These hires will work directly alongside Portfolio Managers and Traders, helping drive investment decisions through a combination of market analysis, collateral-level research, data-driven insights, and proprietary analytics.
This is not a traditional back-office quant or development role. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys digging into collateral, evaluating investment opportunities, discussing trade ideas, and leveraging technology and data science to gain an edge in the market. Successful candidates will have a path toward increased investment responsibility over time.
What You'll Do
- Partner closely with Portfolio Managers and Traders on investment research and idea generation
- Analyze collateral performance, market trends, and relative value opportunities across structured credit sectors
- Utilize data, statistical techniques, and modern analytical tools to identify attractive investment opportunities
- Develop proprietary models, screens, and workflows that support trading and portfolio construction decisions
- Evaluate new issue and secondary market opportunities
- Monitor portfolio performance, risk exposures, and key market developments
- Work with large collateral-level datasets, deal tapes, and performance databases
- Build dashboards, research tools, and applications that enhance the investment process
- Contribute to investment discussions and portfolio strategy reviews

- European ABS
- Consumer ABS
- Auto ABS
- CLOs
- Securitized products research or trading
For the RMBS & Whole Loan seat:
- Agency or Non-Agency RMBS
- Residential credit investing
- Whole loan trading
- Mortgage analytics
- Consumer credit investing
Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Experience within structured credit, securitized products, mortgage markets, or asset-backed finance
- Strong Python and data analysis capabilities
- Advanced SQL and experience working with large datasets
- Familiarity with machine learning, predictive analytics, or data-driven investment research
- Experience utilizing AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar technologies
- Genuine interest in investing, markets, and security selection
