Quantitative Developer - Credit eTrading (VP)
Job Description: Quantitative Developer - Credit eTrading (VP)
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quantitative Developer to join our Credit Quantitative Research team, with a focus on Municipal Bonds (Munis). This role centers on productionizing quantitative algo models transforming research prototypes into robust, scalable, and maintainable systems for live trading environments.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in object-oriented programming (OOP) and experience working with large, complex codebases. You will collaborate closely with quantitative researchers and traders to ensure models are implemented efficiently and integrated seamlessly into production workflows.
While prior experience with algorithmic or electronic trading systems and fixed-income products is a plus, it is not required. What matters most is your ability to build high-quality, production-ready systems that can handle the complexity and scale of modern trading environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain production-grade systems for quantitative models and analytics related to municipal bonds and fixed-income strategies.
  • Collaborate with quant researchers and traders to implement models and tools that support trading strategies and risk management.
  • Build and optimize robust data pipelines for large-scale market and reference data.
  • Implement end-to-end solutions, including model deployment, monitoring, and performance optimization.
  • Apply object-oriented programming principles to create modular, maintainable, and scalable codebases.
  • Ensure code quality and reliability when working with large, complex codebases.
  • Contribute to the integration of AI/ML models into production systems, ensuring robustness and compliance with best practices.

Qualifications
  • Expert-level programming skills in C++, Java, or C#, with a strong emphasis on object-oriented design and development.
  • Proven experience working with large, complex codebases in a production environment.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, including testing, version control, and deployment.
  • Experience in productionizing quantitative models or similar computational systems.
  • Familiarity with municipal bonds or fixed-income products is a plus.
  • Exposure to algorithmic or electronic trading systems is desirable but not required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
