Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and intellectually curious individual to join our Equities team as a Sub Portfolio Manager or Quantitative Researcher. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and execution of systematic and/or discretionary equity strategies, leveraging data-driven insights and rigorous research to generate alpha.
Key Responsibilities:
For Sub Portfolio Manager:
- Manage a sub-book within the broader equities portfolio, aligned with firm risk parameters.
- Develop and implement equity strategies (discretionary, systematic, or hybrid).
- Monitor portfolio performance, risk exposures, and market developments.
- Collaborate with analysts, researchers, and traders to refine investment ideas.
- Contribute to broader team discussions on macro and sectoral themes.
For Quantitative Researcher:
- Conduct alpha research using statistical, machine learning, and econometric techniques.
- Build and maintain predictive models and signals across global equity markets.
- Clean, structure, and analyze large datasets (e.g., fundamental, alternative, market data).
- Work closely with PMs to translate research into actionable strategies.
- Continuously improve research infrastructure and backtesting frameworks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, Engineering).
- 3+ years of experience in equities (buy-side or sell-side), ideally in a PM, QR, or analyst role.
- Strong programming skills (Python, R, C++, or similar).
- Familiarity with financial databases (Bloomberg, FactSet, Capital IQ, etc.).
- Deep understanding of equity markets, valuation techniques, and risk management.
- Experience with portfolio construction and optimization is a plus.
