Private Credit Vice President Overview
The team is seeking an Experienced Private Credit Vice President to join their growing platform. This is a senior leadership role offering the opportunity to drive origination, lead deal execution, and oversee portfolio management within a global private credit strategy. As a Vice President, you will play a pivotal role in shaping investment decisions, managing client relationships, and mentoring junior professionals, while working closely with senior leadership to execute the firm's strategic vision.
Private Credit Vice President Responsibilities
- Origination & Relationship Management: Source new investment opportunities and maintain strong relationships with sponsors, intermediaries, and borrowers.
- Deal Leadership: Lead all aspects of transaction execution, including structuring, negotiation, and documentation.
- Investment Committee Engagement: Present and defend investment recommendations to senior leadership and committees.
- Portfolio Oversight: Manage existing investments, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with covenants and risk parameters.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Strategic Contribution: Provide insights on market trends and contribute to the evolution of the private credit strategy.
Private Credit Vice President Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CFA designation strongly preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in private credit, leveraged finance, investment banking, or related areas, with a proven track record of deal execution and portfolio management.
- Deep understanding of credit documentation, structuring, and risk assessment.
- Exceptional financial modeling and analytical skills, with the ability to lead complex transactions.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholders and clients.
- Highly organized, strategic thinker with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
