Position Overview
A growing consulting firm is seeking a full-time Energy Analyst to join its team. This role requires strong organizational, analytical, communication, and client management skills. The Energy Analyst will interact directly with clients on a daily basis and collaborate frequently with both the analytics team and senior management.
This is a permanent, in-office position based in Fort Lauderdale, FL (with additional offices in New York and London). The role reports directly to the Vice President of Market Analytics and works closely with senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage time-sensitive workflows, meet tight deadlines, and produce reports and analyses
- Ensure execution of retail energy procurement arrangements
- Communicate regularly with senior management regarding project status and workflow
- Engage with clients on task completion, strategy development, and execution
- Oversee data imports to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Liaise with suppliers to negotiate terms and conditions for energy agreements
- Maintain and update internal reporting systems
Education, Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated analytical experience, preferably within the energy sector
- Knowledge of wholesale energy markets and related concepts
- 1-2 years of experience in an analyst role within a relevant industry
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel, Word, and Outlook skills required)
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent time management and multitasking ability
- Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Interest in and enthusiasm for the energy industry
