A leading global investment bank with a market‑leading restructuring franchise is seeking a French‑speaking Associate to join its rapidly growing London team. The group advises corporates, private equity sponsors, lenders, and other stakeholders on complex capital structure situations across EMEA, with a strong focus on cross‑border mandates.
Role Overview
As an Associate within the Financial Restructuring team, you will play a critical role in the execution of high‑profile mandates, supporting senior deal teams across all phases of distressed and special situations transactions. You will work on both creditor‑side and debtor‑side engagements, including:
- Independent Business Reviews
- Contingency planning
- Liability management
- Debt refinancing and capital raising
- In‑ and out‑of‑court restructuring processes
This position offers exceptional exposure to complex financial situations, high client interaction, and the opportunity to grow within one of the most active restructuring platforms in the market.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and review detailed financial models to assess liquidity, business viability, and restructuring options
- Conduct comprehensive financial and operational analysis for distressed businesses
- Prepare presentations, pitch materials, marketing documents, and client deliverables
- Support in managing workstreams across multiple engagements simultaneously
- Participate in stakeholder meetings, negotiations, and strategic discussions
- Contribute to internal research, industry mapping, and transaction precedent analysis
What We're Looking For
- 3-5 years of experience in restructuring, leveraged finance, M&A, special situations, or transaction advisory
- Strong financial modelling and quantitative analysis skills
- Exposure to complex capital structures and debt instruments
- Excellent written and verbal communication in both French and English
- Ability to thrive in a high‑performance, fast‑paced, and entrepreneurial environment
- Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and the willingness to take ownership
