Investment Banking Associate

Our client, a highly regarded middle-market investment bank, is seeking an Investment Banking Associate to join its growing team in Tampa, Florida. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with senior bankers and clients across a variety of M&A, capital raising, and strategic advisory engagements while taking on meaningful responsibility throughout the transaction lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, transaction experience, and a desire to work in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment that provides significant client exposure and career development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of mergers and acquisitions, capital raises, strategic advisory, and other corporate finance transactions
  • Develop detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction materials
  • Prepare pitch books, management presentations, information memoranda, and client-facing deliverables
  • Conduct industry, company, and market research to support transaction execution and business development efforts
  • Assist in due diligence, data room management, and transaction process coordination
  • Participate in client meetings, management presentations, and investor discussions
  • Mentor and oversee analysts while collaborating closely with senior investment banking professionals

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of investment banking experience, or 2+ years of investment banking experience with completion of an Analyst program
  • Strong financial modeling and valuation capabilities, including DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions, and LBO analysis
  • Experience supporting M&A and capital markets transactions
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Closed transaction experience within middle-market M&A
  • Industry experience in Healthcare, Industrials, Business Services, Technology, or Consumer coverage
  • CPA, CFA, or MBA credentials are a plus
