Investment Banking Associate | Industrials
Selby Jennings is partned with a leading middle market M&A Investment Bank looking to expand their Investment Banking Associate ranks.
This team is well known for their mergers and acquisitions execution across a variety of sectors within the industrial markets. This team has been high performing and is looking to grow their execution horsepower because of their active deal pipeline.
Responsibilities
- Execute sell-side and buy-side M&A transactions for industrials clients.
- Develop and manage detailed financial models, including merger models, LBOs, DCFs, and comparable company analyses.
- Prepare client presentations, pitch materials, confidential information memorandums (CIMs), and management presentations.
- Coordinate due diligence processes and manage data room activities.
- Conduct industry and company-specific research to support transaction execution and business development efforts.
- Interact directly with clients, private equity sponsors, potential buyers, legal counsel, and accounting advisors.
- Mentor and oversee analysts throughout transaction execution.
Qualifications
- 3-6 years of investment banking experience, or 2-4 years of investment banking experience plus an MBA.
- Previous M&A transaction experience required.
- Industrials sector experience preferred but not required.
- Strong financial modeling and valuation skills.
- Experience preparing client-facing materials and managing multiple workstreams simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Bachelor's degree from a top-tier university with a strong academic record.
