Our client, a leading healthcare‑focused boutique investment bank, is seeking a highly motivated Investment Banking Associate to join its Healthcare Services team in New York City. About the Role
As an Associate on the Healthcare Services team, you will take on a leadership role in transaction execution and client coverage. You will work closely with senior bankers on M&A advisory assignments, capital raising transactions, and strategic advisory engagements across the healthcare services sector, while also mentoring junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and lead execution of M&A, strategic advisory, and capital markets transactions
- Build and review detailed financial models and valuation analyses (DCF, LBO, comparables, precedent transactions)
- Oversee preparation of client presentations, pitch materials, and investment memoranda
- Conduct and guide industry and company-specific research across healthcare services verticals
- Manage due diligence processes and coordinate with third‑party advisors
- Work closely with senior team members and maintain direct client interaction
- Supervise and mentor Analysts, ensuring high-quality work product and development
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of investment banking experience (bulge bracket, elite boutique, or strong middle‑market experience preferred)
- Strong financial modeling, analytical, and valuation skill set with the ability to review junior work
- Prior experience in healthcare or healthcare services is preferred but not required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong client-facing ability
- Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and lead projects in a fast‑paced environment
- Leadership mindset with strong attention to detail and team collaboration skills
