A fast-growing independent advisory firm specialising in financial services is seeking to hire an M&A Analyst to join its Paris-based team.
Since its inception, the firm has established a strong reputation advising entrepreneurs, corporates, institutions and investment funds on a wide range of strategic and financial transactions. The Opportunity
As an M&A Analyst, you will play an active role in the execution of high-profile transactions across the financial services sector, including:
- Mergers & Acquisitions
- Capital raising mandates
- Strategic acquisitions
- Leveraged buyouts (LBOs)
- Corporate finance advisory projects
Working directly with senior bankers and partners, you will gain exposure to all aspects of the deal lifecycle and contribute meaningfully to client engagements from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct financial, strategic and sector-specific analysis
- Perform company valuation exercises and financial modelling
- Build and maintain detailed financial models and business plans
- Prepare marketing and transaction documentation, including:
- Pitch books
- Teasers
- Information Memoranda
- Management presentations
- Due diligence materials
- Research and identify potential investors, acquirers and transaction counterparties
- Support client communications and transaction execution processes
- Monitor market activity and industry developments within the financial services sector
Candidate Profile
- Internship experience in M&A, Corporate Finance or a related field
- Master's degree from a leading business school, engineering school or equivalent university programme
- Strong technicalskillset, including:
- Financial modelling
- Company valuation
- Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
- Corporate finance knowledge
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Fluent English and French required; additional European languages are advantageous
- Commercial mindset with a strong interest in financial services
- Self-starter with a proactive and collaborative approach
