Head of Distribution
We are partnered with an independent global private markets placement and advisory group seeking to hire a Head of US Distribution.
This is a well-established boutique within the private markets ecosystem, working closely with high-quality investment managers across both established and emerging markets. The firm advises on a broad range of mandates, including primary capital raises, secondary solutions, and direct transactions, across real estate, infrastructure, real assets, private equity, and credit. The platform operates on an exclusive, global basis with its managers and has built a strong reputation across North America and Europe.
This individual will take on a player/coach role, leading US distribution while remaining actively involved in fundraising and investor coverage. The mandate is to help scale and professionalize the US effort while driving revenue and deepening LP relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead US coverage across private capital-raising processes spanning real estate, infrastructure, private equity, and credit
- Act as a player/coach, balancing individual production with team leadership and development
- Oversee junior team members and ensure high-quality deliverables, including:
- Fundraising updates and activity reports
- Roadshow coordination and calendars
- Investor target lists and profiles
- Marketing and presentation materials
- Serve as a primary point of contact for GPs, providing strategic guidance on fundraising, positioning, and investor engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with institutional investors across North America
- Drive fundraising processes forward, ensuring strong execution and successful closes
Key Qualifications
- 12+ years of experience in private markets, ideally within a placement agent or advisory platform
- Strong background across alternatives, with particular relevance in real estate and infrastructure (private equity experience also considered)
- Proven track record of raising capital and managing LP relationships
- Experience operating in a client-facing, revenue-generating role with demonstrated impact
- Ability to operate at a senior level while remaining hands-on
- Strong understanding of corporate finance and investment structures
- Highly commercial, with the ability to both originate and execute
- Open to candidates from in-house IR roles, though placement agent experience is
