About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Structured Credit Sales to lead our Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) coverage within the Global Markets division. This is a senior role focused bespoke credit solutions across SSA markets.
You will be responsible for driving revenue growth, deepening client relationships, and delivering innovative structured credit products tailored to the unique needs of the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Originate and execute structured credit transactions across SSA, including securitizations, credit-linked notes, and bespoke financing solutions.
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with institutional investors, corporates, banks, and sovereign entities.
- Collaborate with structuring, trading, legal, and risk teams to deliver client-centric solutions.
- Provide market intelligence and insights into SSA credit markets, identifying emerging opportunities and risks.
- Lead client pitches, roadshows, and investor briefings across key SSA financial hubs.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks across multiple jurisdictions.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in structured credit sales, investment banking, or capital markets, with a strong focus on SSA.
- Proven track record of originating and closing complex credit transactions.
- Deep understanding of SSA financial markets, regulatory environments, and geopolitical dynamics.
- Strong network of institutional investors and SSA market participants.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- CFA, MBA, or equivalent qualification preferred.
